Networking

More than at other conferences, the 2014 University-Industry Interaction Conference will focus on networking. The conference facilitates interaction, and creates cooperation, between industry and universities alike. Through facilitated One-on-One Meetings, Round Table Discussions and Project Proposal Meetings the attendees will be able generate immediate outcomes, future projects and interactions.

One-on-One Meetings

Recognising the value of individual meetings, the conference will enable its participants to schedule one-on-one meetings with other participants. To do so, attendees can check out the particpants list about 2 weeks before the conference and use the internal message system to invite other particpants to a meeting (before, during or after the conference). Like this, attendees can already plan meetings beforehand and make the most out of their stay in Barcelona.

Round Table Discussions

The conference will feature a series of discussion panels around certain sub-themes and stakeholder groups. Each round table discussion will be moderated by an expert in the field who will guide the discussion in order to ensure that key challenges and potential solutions are addressed. We invite you to take place at one of the round tables (with a maximum capacity of 10 participants), to discuss the future of university-industry interaction.

You want to have an influence? Want to have your say? Join one of the discussion tables!

If you are interested in hosting a round table discussion, have a look at the call for round table discussions.

Project Proposal Meetings

In order to facilitate the creation of joint proposals (for national, European or other funding), the conference will feature a discussion board for ideas and interests regarding future research activities. During the conference, attendees can outline their interest in a given topic and/or add a new area of interest. Based on the interest stated at the discussion board, groups are build and target-oriented discussion on how to develop a project are facilitated.
